For the past two years I have been apart of the University of South Carolina's student magazine, Garnet & Black. My senior year on staff I was promoted to art director. Along with my creative director, it was my responsibility to ensure design within the magazine remained consistent. Working on this magazine taught me how to work under tight deadlines as well as further my knowledge in Adobe In-design. For the 2017–2018 year Garnet & Black underwent a complete redesign with new logo and style guide. This redesign proved to be very successful as the magazine received a silver ADDY award for the 2017 Fall issue and a gold ADDY award for the 2017 Winter issue. Overall, working on this publication was a wonderful experience that allowed me to further my skills as a designer and work alongside many other creatives at the University of South Carolina.
